In a statement last week by Dan DeClark, President / CEO of Flavor Infusion, he said that by the end of 2008, Flavor Infusion will be eliminating all flavor raw materials of Chinese origin. Dan remarks, “this will ensure superior food safety for our consumers and protect us as well as our customers.” In recent months, many reports have been published about the uncertainty of Chinese quality standards in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Although Flavor Infusion undergoes strict quality checkpoints for all raw materials used in its flavors, this will ensure a higher level of safety and authenticity for our products.
With cost structures in mind, Flavor Infusion will be offering Chinese derived and non-Chinese derived flavor options to its future and existing clients. Until China can live up to Flavor Infusion’s quality and food safety standards for consumable raw materials, we will not put our company, our customers or our consumers at risk.
